About the Artisans
Meet the Artisans of The Community Cloth! They are all refugee women artisans from Iraq, Afghanistan, Myanmar (Burma) and Bhutan, who have resettled in Houston, Texas. They are here to build a new home for themselves and their families.
Meet Sancha from Bhutan. She is the leader and coordinator among the Bhutanese knitters.
Meet Devi from Bhutan. She loves to knit and make jewelry in very creative designs!

Meet Maya from Bhutan! She is a wonderful knitter who always pays attention to detail.
Meet Ilham from Iraq. She loves to knit and is always teaching herself new designs.

Meet Htay Mo from Myanmar (Burma). She is an expert weaver in traditional Karenni Burmese patterns.
Meet Mi Meh from Myanmar (Burma)! She is a great weaver of traditional Karenni Burmese patterns, and always keeps the group giggling.
Meet Poe Meh from Myanmar (Burma). She loves to weave traditional Karenni Burmese patterns, as well as experimenting with new techniques.
Meet Nar Mo from Myanmar (Burma). She is the leader and coordinator among the Karenni Burmese women artisans.
