Come celebrate with The Community Cloth at the annual AsiaFest this weekend, Saturday, May 19th. AsiaFest is a family fun event that showcases and informs the local Houston area about the many beauties of Asian culture, from education, business and community, to arts and culture.
AsiaFest is hosted and funded by the Asia Society in Houston with 12 locations across the world. Asia society is a non-partisan organization with a mission to promote mutual understanding and the strengthening of partnerships between Asia and the West. Their programs educate, enrich and engage Houstonians while promoting and embracing diversity, and also serving as a platform for community communication.
They will have music and art performances, creative and educational activities, Asian fusion cuisine and many local vendors.
The Community Cloth will have a booth at Asiafest where we will be selling and promoting the beautiful pieces that the wonderful refugee artisan woman create. We would love for you to come out to see us and enjoy the fun! Be sure to check out the newest handwoven scarves made from Bamboo - they are supersoft!
The festival will be at the Asia Society Texas Center located in the museum district on May 19th from 11-4pm. We look forward to seeing you!
