Hurricane Harvey continues to wreak havoc on many of Houston’s most vulnerable populations even in its aftermath. Some of Harvey's victims are artisans of The Community Cloth. The majority of women involved in the Community Cloth are mothers and widows, who left lives of illiteracy and poverty for a new beginning in the U.S.

Many of the Bhutanese artisans settled in the Sunblossom Community in West Houston, where some of their fellow Bhutanese had found a welcoming commune. Their future looked bright, especially with the communal and financial support of The Community Cloth.

Since Hurricane Harvey hit the Houston area, many of the subdivisions surrounding their neighborhood were under water, restricting their families from the ability to work. Now the women are relying solely on their proceeds to get by.

Please help the Community Cloth continue to assist these women break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty as they struggle to meet basic everyday needs during this difficult time. To donate to Alliance's broader Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, click here.

100% of the proceeds will go to clients in need.
