In 2018, for its 33rd annual luncheon, Texas Executive Women is proud to announce the 2018 Class of Women on the Move® and the Rising Star. These professional women have demonstrated excellence and achieved success in their field of endeavor, while also giving back to the community in significant and inspiring ways.

Connect + Collaborate + Innovate Creative Saturdays

Join us on May 19th, 2018 for the launch of Connect + Collaborate + Innovate (CCI) Creative Saturdays At Magpies & Peacocks. Connect + Collaborate + Innovate Creative Saturdays is a free interactive experience for the community at our EaDo non-profit design house every Third Saturday of the month. CCI includes tour of our space, shop one of a kind hip sustainable items at our Co:Lab marketplace, donate unwanted textiles, sign up to volunteer and get more involved with our organization and meet our cool talented designers, artists and makers. May's CCI featured designer is Modern Artifacts For Magpies & Peacocks and the featured community partner is The Community Cloth. CCI is a free event with complimentary bites and sips served.

Milonga Mi Refugio

Milonga Mi Refugio (My refuge/My Shelter) is a tango dancing night organized by Houston tango dancers to support human rights organizations. It is meant to give people a chance to dance and be activists at the same time. 

The event is open to everyone. So if you haven't danced tango this event will be a perfect chance for you to learn tango, and get to see what a tango dancing night in Houston looks like. There will be a beginners class to introduce new people to tango, performances by our talented dancers, tango accessories, a raffle, delicious snacks, and dancing the most beautiful tango music.

Find The Community Cloth set up at a booth, selling beautiful products handmade by refugee women artisans. We will have special tango flowers for the dancers! 

All the proceeds from the evening will be donated to PAIR (partnership for the advancement and immersion of refugees)

PAIR empowers refugee youth to navigate American society, achieve their academic potential and become community leaders through educational mentoring programs.
